Most of the Manchester City and Belgian National team are already signed up. Now it’s the rest of the world. New Balance are ready to mark their charge onto the football scene, again, and we were there when the American sports brand presented their new plans. See how it went down here.

New Balance have entered the ring with all guns blazing, stepping onto the big football scene again, after a 30 year break. New Balance take over where Warrior (Who are owned by New Balance) left off. We received an invitation to their launch event in London and naturally accepted it eagerly. And it was also an extra opportunity for JayMike to practise his Portuguese with Fernando.

The Set-up was comprised of Richard Wright, a row of superstars, but no football boots yet. New Balance are waiting to unveil them, even though we have already seen quite a few sneak peeks on the feet of Kompany, Fellaini and the other New Balance stars, who wear the blackouted and whiteouted boots with the N on the side.

It will definitely be exciting to see what New Balance can bring to the game and whether they can challenge the other major brands. You just have to say they have built a pretty decent foundation with Kompany, Nasri, Navas, Fernando, Negredo, Fellaini, Januzaj and Ramsey. Those are in any case a group of players I could do with on my FIFA15 Ultimate Team…

Jakob said hello to quite a few of the players, who were presented as New Balance players, but he could however not get a glimpse of the boots. You would think we will get a better idea of what New Balance have in store for us very soon…
