When we went for our usual mooch through all the training sessions throughout the world, we stumbled upon something a little out of the ordinary in Sweden. It could very well be the first look at the next generation of Adidas Adipure 11Pro, which in all secrecy is being tested in a blackouted version. Take a look and judge for yourself.

Adidas Adipure 11Pro first saw the light of day back in the January of 2012 and after more than a year, we can now see pictures of what could very well be a prototype for the next generation. We have bumped into this picture from a Swedish training ground and especially the inscription on the heel, gives us reason to believe that this is an Adipure 11Pro II.

If you zoom in on the picture, you can see that it says 11Pro with relatively large letters. It is therefore hard to see how this blackouted boot isn't part of the Adipure-collection. It also looks like Adidas have made quite a few changes, when compared to the current model, where especially the lateral side and upper look very different.

The stitching on the front foot looks to be drawing some inspiration from the Nike Tiempo Legend IV and Umbro Speciali Pro IV, which both have stitching across the midfoot. This has also been known to make the leather better at shaping itself, to accommodate to your natural foot shape. Furthermore the calculated stitching also creates little pillows of leather, which gives a good cushioning effect when controlling the ball.

We are really looking forward to seeing what is next for the Adipure-collection and whether this blackouted prototype is the finished product. The design definitely looks to be a radical overhaul and things could point to the classical leather boot is moving towards a more modern outlook.

Nothing is set in stone when it comes to prototypes and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Should it however turn out, that we are looking at the next generation of Adidas Adipure 11Pro, then what do you think about it? What are your immediate reactions to the design?
