Unisport abroad: Episode 2/3 'The Nike FC Barcelona Experience'

In the seconds part of our The Nike FC Barcelona Experience-series, the Unisport-crew and Jakob get up and close with the beating heart of FC Barcelona, the training ground. The living legends and future stars were out training in the fresh morning rain. Join us behind the scenes for episode 2 of 30.

A trip to Barcelona with the chance to go behind the scenes at one of the worlds absolutely biggest clubs – does that sound like an interesting story? We definitely think so and when Nike invited us we were in any case quick to say yes. The bags were packed in a hurry and we headed for the Catalan capital.

Have you not seen the first part of our Nike FC Barcelona Experience, you can watch it here.

After soaking in some of Barcelona, checking out the city centre and above all witnessing the magical 4-0 Champions League triumph against AC Milan, we cracked on with day number two, by visiting Barca's training facilities.

Here we got a peak behind the curtains and saw the stars in their natural habitat. First off we got a guided tour from Pere Gratacos, who is in charge of the training facilities and academy grounds.

At the same time Jakob got to stand on the sidelines, as FC Barcelona trained in the pouring rain, the day after the impressive victory against Milan the night before – and there were several of very familiar faces there, with Iniesta, Puyol, Sanchez, Song, Fabregas and also the giga talent Gerard Deulofeu.

After checking out the training and the world famous youth academy La Masia – where players like Iniesta, Messi and Xavi all learnt their trade – Jakob went for another look around Barcelona's lively streets, as he visited the Sagrada Familia, which is the famous, unfinished church.

Jakob was however in no way done experiencing Barcelona and getting to grips with what the Barcelona-spirit was all about. What the third day brought, can be seen in the third and final episode.
