Weekend boot spots. Exciting blackouts and much more

Only very few of the leagues around the world are yet to find their champion, but there are some. Moreover, these days are all about the national fixtures, and our boot spotters have, as always, been alert. It is time to take a look at the boots that caught our attention this week.

Mario Balotelli (Italy) – Nike Hypervenom Phantom ACC Black/Bright Citrus In group B of the world cup qualifiers you will find Denmark and Italy, among others. The latter has one of our absolute favourites on the team, Mario Balotelli, and he used the game against the Czech Republic to début his new Nike Hypervenom Phantom ACC Black/Bright Citrus. Some might say he didn't give them the optimal début as he failed to produce any goals or assists; and on the other hand got a red card. Ohh, Balotelli...

Radamel Falcao (Colombia) Puma evoSPEED 1.2 Black/Fluo Yellow/Brilliant Blue The former Atletico Madrid player surprised everyone, as he turned his back to huge clubs, like Manchester City and Chelsea and ended up picking out the rich French club AS Monaco. For the first time since his transfer, he was wearing his new Puma evoSPEED 1.2 Black/Fluo Yellow/Brilliant Blue, and we have to admit, they match the yellow Colombia kit more than well.

Hernan Fredes (Independiente) – Adidas F50 Adizero Custom There is just something about boots that have been custom designed by the players themselves, and we are seeing ever growing opportunities to add your own touch to your footwear. Argentinian Hernan Fredes has taken advantage of this option as he, in the weekend, wore a pair of white and red Adidas F50 Adizero from last year's generation, an excellent match with the Independiente kit.

Inigo Martinez (Spain) – Adidas Predator LZ Blackout If there is one team that you wanna keep an eye on at the Under 21 Euro Cup, it's Spain. They can boast an incredible squad, including central defender Inigo Martinez, who, at the age of 22 may still be categorised as a huge talent. He wore the Adidas Predator LZ from last season in a blacked-out version; and as you may have noticed, we are quite fond of the the all black boots here at the office, and this pair is definitely no exception.

Ivan Perez (Real Madrid) – Joma Fit100 Light Silver/Green Quite possibly the boot that Jacob has been the least fond of, when doing his reviews; but maybe Ivan Perez from the Real Madrid legends team doesn't watch our videos on Youtube. He had picked out a pair of Joma Fit100 Light Silver/Green as they took on the Juventus legends. This colourway may not be as bad as the red/yellow/blue colourway, but still; there is an eagle on the side!

Sebastian Velasquez (Real Salt Lake) – Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Black/Electricity/Metallic Silver Taking a look at the Americas, our attention quickly got caught be something unexpected. We are talking about a pair of Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 in a unforeseen colourway, on the feet of Sebastian Velasquez from Real Salt Lake. We believe that the Colombian may have been a bit too quick, in terms of sporting this boot, but we have been mistaken before, so let's see what's in store for the future.

Sergio Agüero (Argentina) – Puma evoSPEED 1.2 Black/Fluo Yellow/Brilliant Blue The Manchester City frontrunner also took it to the pitch with his national team, and he naturally did so wearing his Puma evoSPEED 1.2 Black/Fluo Yellow/Brilliant Blue on his feet. It was a rather hectic match against Colombia, but neither Agüero or Falcao managed to find the back of the net. The game ended as a goalless affair, which will mainly be remembered for the two red cards that were shown.

Thomas Ince (England) – Warrior Sports prototype Blackout We have, earlier, spotted Blackpool's super talent wearing a pair of blacked-out prototypes, and now that we have gotten some better pictures, we are certain that they boots are from Warrior. Over the last few days, Warrior have started a campaign with the phrases “It's time to take control back” and #Gambler being used extensively. All of this is pointing towards a control boot from Warrior, which also fits well with the look of the medial side of the boot.

Although most leagues have already gone on holiday, we will always spot something going on, on the football pitches across the globe. What do you think of this installment of boot spots? And what do you think of Ince's Warrior prototypes? Feel free to share your opinion in the box below and join in on the debate on Twitter and Facebook.
