Last week was another busy week of football, with friendly matches still going on ahead of the new season, as well as a couple of big finals being played in England and Germany. All in all a great cause for a new round of boot spots, so you can get to see the best boots on display.

Nicklas Bendtner (Wolfsburg) - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV Hyper Pink/Black

The Lord truly was the man of the hour, as Wolfsburg took on Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup. He scored a last gasp equaliser, as well as the winning penalty in emphatic fashion, as his side bested Bayern Munich. He did so in what is a bit of an unofficial signature colourway for him. On his new boots Lord Bendtner had the following to say: “People made fun 5 years ago, when I was wearing these. Now Everyone is wearing them.”

Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) - PUMA - evoPOWER White/Total Eclipse/Lava Blast

Elsewhere there was another final going on, with Arsenal and Chelsea facing off. On Sunday morning, the same day as the Community Shield was played, PUMA unveiled a brand new colourway for their evoPOWER. With both the Chelsea and Arsenal team packed with PUMA athletes we had hoped to get to see them, but alas, Cesc and his PUMA friends all wore their old boots. Guess we will have to wait for next weekend and the Premier League.

Robin van Persie (Fenerbahce) - adidas F50 adizero

New club, same boots for RVP. Bar the occasional look at other boots the Fenerbahce striker has stayed loyal to his old adizero boots, which are customised with an adiPOWER soleplate. Although his hair is getting a little greyer, Robin van Persie looked as spry as ever, but couldn’t find the back of the net.

Micah Richards (Aston Villa) - adidas X15

All his career Micah Richards has been a Nike athlete, but it looks like along with his move from Manchester City to Aston Villa he also switched brands. He has been testing out the revolution from adidas, also wearing the Ace15 during preseason, but looks to have gone for Chaos and the X now. It will be exciting to see the human wrecking ball back in the Premier League and how he does for Aston Villa. He certainly hasn’t gotten any smaller during his time in Italy…

Sergio Busquets (Barcelona) - Nike Magista Opus Turquoise Blue/Black/Blue Lagoon

Barcelona have had a pretty rubbish preseason to say the least. They have been losing just about everything they go near, albeit without Messi, who will probably change things when he is back. Sergio Busquets was in action against Fiorentina and wore the new Lightning Storm Pack Magista, which he has had modified and fitted with the Tiempo soleplate. (Something just about all the Barcelona players prefer)

Wayne Rooney (Everton) - Nike Hypervenom Phinish II Wolf Grey/Total Orange/Black

So wait you didn’t hear that Wayne Rooney had left Manchester United and signed for Everton overnight? Well he hasn’t either, so United fans you can relax. The England striker took part in a testimonial match at Goodison Park, where he was treated to a standing ovation at his old home-ground. He didn't see it fit to pull out his new boots for the occasion though and has stuck to the Silver Storm Pack Hypervenom

A recap of what the world of football had going on this week, with a couple of teams collecting their first trophies in new boots. Everything is ready for the real kick-off for the new season next weekend and we are excited like kids on Christmas morning. Did we miss any boot spots that you think should have made it in?
