There are simply no quiet months in the world of football gear and September was yet another great example of that. All the brands were going at full throttle bringing us Limited Editions, colourway updates and completely new innovations. There has been so much that we definitely wouldn’t blame you if you lost track, so if you want to catch up on this month's biggest unveilings, then read along here…

It was adidas who kicked off September and they did so with three new boots on the first day of the month. Based on the reception, both from you guys, and our opinion here at the office, the absolute star of the show was the white, black and blue X15. An absolute stunner no doubt, which was actually also a Unisport exclusive.

PUMA had one of their busiest months in quite a while too, with both new kits and lots of new boots. Early on in the month PUMA unveiled the new Italy shirt for the European Championship next year and well the best way to describe it is dead simple, classic and basically impossible not to like. This was followed up on with a pair of very special boots, which are made for a very good cause. Oktober will be Breast Cancer Awareness month and in preparation for that PUMA have unveiled their yearly Project Pink boot, which this time was the evoSPEED SL.

To wrap up all the biggest new boots PUMA had for us, they also very recently launched their Head2Head campaign, where the very biggest ambassadors for each of their boots will go against the other and get points for scoring, assisting and saving for their team. It’s Team evoPOWER vs Team evoSPEED. That naturally called for new boots, so PUMA hooked their players up with new Tricks colourways in blue and Orange.

Nike were actually a little slow out of the blocks this month, but as it happens they were just saving it for a end of the month spree. Included in their new unveilings were new third-shirts for their biggest clubs, which they will use in the cup competitions that they will all be looking to win. They all featured a very unique ‘Night Rising’ design, which is definitely a look other teams will come to fear.

After that though Nike really started picking up the pace with two complete boot silos released in two days. The Electro Flare Pack was undoubtedly the headline act, with the boots there being the ones we can look forward to seeing on the feet of the world’s biggest athletes all autumn. Along with them was the Academy Pack, which was a relaunch from spring, but were the new Hypervenom Phantom II had now replaced the old Hypervenom.

Even though they went hard on the first day of September that didn’t mean adidas didn’t have much more for us. Just this Monday they were ready with a new version of the Ace15 and X15, which this time came with their revolutionising Primeknit material to elevate the comfort. I’ve already had my hands on them and they feel brilliant - so another job unbelievably well done.

I may even have forgotten some in all of this, but that is just testament to all the awesome new unveilings we had this month. Which was your favourite? I can tell you that mine was the white, black and blue adidas X15.
