It’s Monday og even though today's big focus is the new adidas Ace 16+ PureControl, which was launched this morning, then we won’t deprive you of your dose of boot spots. Funnily enough the star of the show this weekend was another adidas boot - the Messi15.1 Platinum. Get a closer look here:

James McClean (West Bromwich Albion) - Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 324K & Nike Mercurial Superfly I Elite NikeID (Custom SG plate)

He is back! He is really back! After a good couple of months, where we thought James McClean might have gone boring on us he has returned with a vengeance. In the West Brom game against Chelsea he played in a pair of the Nike Mercurial Superfly IV CR7 324K, but did change boots at half time to spare the fairly limited model. Then yesterday evening things got really fun, when he uploaded a picture of a new pair of boots, which are about as unique as it gets. A NikeID version of the Superfly II Elite and with a custom SG soleplate. James McClean - one of the worlds biggest boot nerds is definitely back!

Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) - PUMA evoPOWER 1.3 Safety Yellow/Black/Atomic Blue

The new PUMA evoPOWER got its on-pitch debut this weekend and with the players wearing it, it’s no surprise that it also got on the scoresheet. One of the goals came from Cesc Fabregas, who did the damage against Everton.

Keisuke Honda (AC Milan) - Mizuno Wave Ignitus

He has been out injured, been exiled to the bench a bit, but now Keisuke Honda is back on the pitch, which is great for us, because that means we get to enjoy his Mizuno Wave Ignitus. I am absolutely in love with this colourway and design combination. Top stuff from Mizuno.

Hulk (Zenit Saint Petersburg) - Mizuno Morelia Neo

Speaking of Mizuno boots - here is Hulk trolling the Zenit keeper, while the Russian league is on winter break. For the most part we recommend you keep on your Mizuno Morelia Neo, unless you are trolling your keeper, then by all means kick ‘em off.

Lionel Messi (Barcelona) - adidas Messi15.1 Platinum

They are absolutely one of a kind, but Messi was however not gonna keep his celebratory adidas boots on the sidelines and as he presented his fifth Ballon d’Or at the Camp Nou he wore the new boots. So fresh, so clean!

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) - Nike Hypervenom Phantom II Liquid Shift Pack

After sparking contract doubt between him and Nike, because he was wearing blackout Hypervenom boots, things look to be settled for Vardy. They could however not help the Premier League leaders beat number last placed Aston Villa, who looked a different side.

Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace) - Umbro Velocita & Neo Pro Shot Gun Cut Shocking

Hennessey is one of the only Velocita players, but after the launch of the new second generation of the boot he hasn’t changed yet. I have my own theory that it’s because he is still waiting for the matching gloves and then he will be in the quite brilliant new version of the boot. He would be a fool not to switch if you ask me.

This was our favourite spots from last week and if I may say so myself, there were some very good ones among today. Have you spotted something we missed? If so then let us know below.
