Boots spots at Unisport | What did we see in January?

The new year has just started and January 2020 has already given us some great looking boots on the pitches in the world of football. Let’s check them out and see what we’ve noticed.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace 11/1) - Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Nike By You

We’ll begin with a pretty special pair of boots worn by Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in their match against Arsenal. It seems like Zaha has enjoyed himself in designing a pair of boots with Nike By You to create a colour match that goes well with the Crystal Palace kit.

Sergio Agüero (Manchester City 18/1) - PUMA One 20.1 Hat-trick

This January Sergio Agüero became the most scoring foreign player and the player with most hat-tricks in the history of the Premier League. PUMA decided to create a special pair for the Argentinian in a great looking sky blue - to honour the colours of his club as well as his national team. We think it’s a perfect match. Congratulations, Agüero!

Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli - 21/1) - adidas Predator 20+ Low Cut

This is a pretty exciting boot spot since we haven’t seen this one on the market. The Predator 20+ from adidas came out on the 21st of January in a high cut version. The same night, Lorenzo Insigne showed up in these. And he even crowned the night by getting on the score sheet as well.

We are curious to see what will happen with the Predator in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Hector Bellerin (Arsenal - 21/1) - adidas X 99.1

We love to see when players are wearing limited edition and custom made boots. And against Chelsea we saw Hector Bellerin wear the ultra light adidas X 99.1. Bellerin used to be a part of the PUMA family and playing in One but it seems like he has switched sides now.

And he might keep on wearing them since he scored a brilliant long range goal in this game!

Herbie Kane (Hull City - 25/1) - adidas Predator Adipower

Another thing we just can’t get enough of are old boot models being brought back to life. This happened to the Predator Adipower in the fourth round of the FA Cup where Herbie Kane from Hull faced Chelsea.

Herbie Kane quickly caught our eyes and this really makes us think about the variety of iconic silos we’ve seen on the Predator throughout the years.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus - 26/1) Nike Mercurial Superfly 7 Future Lab

We’ll end this blog by looking at the feet of the living legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s done wearing his Dreamspeed boots and have now moved on to the Future Lab colourway. And even though it’s not a perfect colour match with the Juventus kit, these boots just look stunning in action.

And they got a great game with Ronaldo scoring against Napoli.
