USA and Brazil get new shirts with Aeroswift technology

Last week Nike presented two of the top contenders’ shirts and for this year’s special edition of the Copa America. Take a closer look at them here.

This year the CONMEBOL celebrate the centenary of the South American football confederation with a special edition of the Copa America, Copa América Centenario. With ten teams from CONMEBOL and six teams from CONCACAF this will be the biggest edition of Copa America in the 100 years.

USA and Brazil are two of the nations that will participate in the tournament and for that reason both their home and away shirts were among the launches of last week’s Innovation Summit in New York. All four shirts are designed with the new Aeroswift technology, but besides that, they pay a traditional tribute to the respective countries colours.

The Red, White and Blue appear both in the home and away kits of USA, particular with a nice detail on the away shirt with a Red right sleeve and a Blue left sleeve. The Brazil home shirt display the iconic “Canarinho” yellow as it has for ages, while the away shirt once again has been designed with the same vivid blue that we’ve seen so many times before.
