Last Thursday Nike presented their new Euro 2016 shirts, where both England and especially France received some fantastic shirts. Portugal are no exception and we take a closer look at them here.
Nike have spent two years developing their new Vapor kits with the AeroSwift technology, and now their players are more ready than ever. Portugal have naturally also received the same contemporary update on their kits, but on the visual front things are as classic as it gets.
The home-shirt from Portugal has a proud tradition and Nike continue this style by bringing a classic red main body, with darker sleeves and green detailing down the sides and around the collar. The green stripes run all the way down the sides and continue onto the shorts.

Both the home- and away-shirt is made with Nike’s new AeroSwift technology, which makes them lighter, more ventilating, stretchable and effective during games. Another nice detail is the compass on the inside of the kit, which represents Portugal’s glorious seafaring history, as well as the words “Nação” (nation) and “Valente” (Courageous) that can be found in the neck and sleeves. Portugal are in other words well dressed for the European Championships this summer.
