Boot spots: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wearing Dortmund inspired diamond boots

It’s Monday, the sun is shining and we are coming off the back of a brilliant week of football and moving into another one! Hard not to be a little chipper and we lift the mood even further with a new round of boot spots here.

Blaise Matuidi (Paris Saint Germain) - Nike Magista Obra Camo Pack

We actually wondered who would end up wearing the Camo Pack Magista, because although Matuidi was the most natural choice, the aglets on the boots weren’t in the colours of the French flag, like with the Hypervenom and Vardy. Either way, he wore them against Manchester City, but unfortunately won’t be eligible to play in the return fixture, because he got suspended. You wally...

James Rodriguez (Real Madrid) - adidas X 15+ SL

We had heard rumours about James Rodriguez moving from the ACE to the X silo and although it took him some time, he now looks to have completed the change. In the disaster against Wolfsburg and during the weekend he wore the new adidas X 15+ SL boots, where he also got his first goal in them, albeit following questionable goalkeeping from the Eibar keeper.

Dele Alli (Tottenham) - adidas ACE 16+ PureControl

He is a little bit of something special this young man. He turns 20 years old today and celebrated his last day of being a teenager with a shock and awe display against Manchester United, where he scored the first goal that opened the floodgates. He is quickly becoming one of the adidas ACE 16+ PureControl’s most prominent figures and despite being so young he is already a certified boss.

Clint Irwin (Toronto FC) - adidas Predator LZ I

Not everyday you see these in action. The adidas Predator LZ was actually a pretty half-decent boot, better than people give it credit for at least. It looks like Clint Irwin agrees and during the last MLS round he wore the old silo from adidas.

Keisuke Honda (AC Milan) - Mizuno Wave Ignitus

Keisuke Honda is the front figure of the Wave Ignitus boot silo, which although he put in a very solid shift, couldn’t help him overcome Juventus. He was wearing the newest colourway, which although we don’t have it on stock yet, we hope to see very soon, because it’s sharp as a tack.

Scott Shearer (Mansfield Town) - Nike T90 Laser IV

Now this is a man with some serious style! Not only has he pulled on the Nike T90 Laser IV, he has also gone for a pair of blackouted gloves, as well as a pair of Trusox. What a guy!

Cristian Jimenez (Guatamala) - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV CR7 Natural Diamond

Wait, you didn’t hear that Cristiano Ronaldo changed nationality and now plays for Guatamala? In all seriousness, you can’t blame Cristian Jimenez for rocking the Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 Natural Diamond boots, because combined with the Guatamala kit it looks pretty damn amazing…

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund) - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV Custom

Time for the star of the show! Good old Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has a history of sometimes going crazy with diamond-encrusted boots and ahead of the derby against Schalke he did it in a big way. The custom Swarovski crystal boots are made by Orravan_design and the unique look boots were a brilliant way to show colours in the Ruhr derby.
