Based on your reaction, when the boots were first presented, then the new Elite Pack boots are pretty strong contenders for pack of the year. Take a closer look at the Mercurial Superfly model here.
The idea behind the Nike Elite Pack is that it will be worn by the absolute elite within their roster - hence the name. They have picked 11 players, who will wear the futuristic design on the pitch.
For the Mercurial, three players will be representing. Obviously Cristiano Ronaldo is there, followed by Eden Hazard and then the very questionable inclusion of Raheem Sterling. If you ask me, and every other sane person on the planet, someone like Martial, Alexis Sanchez or even Marcus Rashford or Leroy Sane would have made it ahead of Sterling. Guess they didn’t pick up the phone, the day Nike called…
So really the question is, do you think you’re qualified to join the exclusive club? I think it’s pretty bloody likely, considering Sterling made the cut.
