All gold everything! adidas release new ACE 16+ PureControl that is completely out of this world in every possible sense. Get the story behind the new boots here.
As the name of the striking new Space Craft pack boots probably alludes to, the inspiration for the reflective gold colourway comes from the materials used on spacecrafts. However, while NASA use the gold foil material to block out radiation and heat, we imagine that players wearing the adidas ACE 16+ PureControl will probably more likely be using the boots to block out all the haters. You’re certainly going to be acquiring a few of those, if you step onto the pitch in a pair of these.
The adidas ACE 16+ PureControl Space Craft is a part of the Limited Collection and therefore only 1000 pairs will be released worldwide. And although they don’t look anything alike, the Space Craft Pack connects perfectly with the Limited Collection release that came before it, the Dark Space Pack. The recent adidas interstellar adventures are providing us with football boots that tick off all the right boxes and long may it continue.
As if our excitement levels weren’t already hitting light speed at the prospect of a gold, limited edition PureControl, adidas have taken things one step further with their Space Craft drop. As you may have seen on the images above, the front foot of the boot has been modified to now feature a soft and supple piece of kangaroo leather. It is something fans of leather boots will certainly welcome, as well as just being a statement of power from the adidas innovation team, who I suspect have done it just to prove they could.
