We have seen enough PUMA generations now to know exactly what a football boot release like this means. The PUMA evoSPEED SL 17 is close to being fully unveiled and this new Optical colourway offers us a unique first-look at the new technological additions.
Made to be worn exclusively by only a handful of PUMA’s sponsored evoSPEED players, this special edition test boot features a 3M effect across the entire upper, which makes it highly reflective. This will not only make it incredibly eye-catching on the feet of players like Antoine Griezmann, Agüero and Marco Reus, but also hide away the technological modifications made by PUMA. Both concealed and eye-catching at the same time - nothing short of a stroke of genius that from PUMA.
There is no official word on what they have done to this new generation PUMA evoSPEED SL 17 yet. That being said, looking at the boot in the pictures below, we can see that the boot is still all about the groundbreaking combination between an incredibly thin and ultra-lightweight textile upper and the supportive SPEEDFRAME. It allows PUMA to make an insanely lightweight boot, without compromising on the lockdown. Can’t wait to hear more about what they have done as soon!
