In November last year, Associacāo Chapecoense de Futebol were struck by a terrible tragedy. Umbro have since worked to find a respectful way of showing support for and contributing to the rebuilding of the club.
The proceeds from this shirt will 100% uncut be going to Chapecoense, both from our Unisport sales and from Umbro. Following the devastating plane crash last year, people have been sending requests looking to buy the Chapecoense shirt, so they could show their support and also help the rehabilitation. Now for the first time, the 2016 Chapecoense shirt will be available outside Brazil.
The Chapecoense third shirt has been chosen as the worldwide re-release, because it was the kit that the club were due to wear in the game against Atletico Nacional in Colombia. It was therefore seemed fitting that these were the colours fans and supporters could wear to recognise the club now. The shirt will be available in limited numbers worldwide, but will still hopefully make a significant contribution to the future of the team.
