On the back of securing their sixth straight Serie A title, Juventus FC have revealed their new home kit for the 2017/18 season, and the result is a neat classic shirt with a modern twist.
Bianconeri have dominated the Italian league the past six seasons, and they look to do continue doing this in the future. First things first, the club from Torino will wear the 2017/18 shirt from adidas in the pursuit of the record seventh straight Scudetto.
At first glance, the new Juventus home shirt may look like the past two year's versions from adidas. However, compared to last season's kit, the new Juventus shirt has thinner stripes, and the back features a broad black center stripe for player names and numbers, inspired by the iconic Juventus kits of the 1940s.
The new Juventus home shirt does not only pay tribute to the past, it is also the first kit to feature the club’s new logo and brand identity: ‘Black and White and More’. The distinctive J logo reflects a modern and forward-thinking approach and the start of a new era for one of the world’s most successful clubs. Besides this, the Juventus home shirt features a golden adidas logo and three golden stars above the Juventus logo.
Whether we like the new J logo at Unisport HQ is op for discussion, but one thing is for sure: We love a classic shirt with a touch of gold, and the new Juventus shirt is definitely a brilliant example of this.
