In this week’s Unisport boot spots, the stars from the 2017 Confederations Cup play the main part. Check out the awesome boots from Nike and adidas on star players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Javier Hernandez.

Ronaldo de Lima (Real Madrid) – Nike Mercurial Vapor XI

Good old Ronaldo is one of our all-time favourites here at Unisport HQ, and seeing him on the pitch in the Corazon Classic Match against Roma with the likes of Luis Figo and Roberto Carlos, brought a huge smile to my face. In the match, Ronaldo wore the super neat Pitch Dark colourway of the Nike Mercurial Vapor XI, and El Fenomeno has still got it!

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) – Nike CR7 Mercurial Campeões

From one Ronaldo to another. In celebration of Portugal's Euro 2016 championship, Ronaldo is playing the 2017 Confederations Cup in a very special pair of boots designed just for him: the CR7 Mercurial Campeões. The boots feature Portugal's team colours, the flag and emblem of Portugal, as well as a jaw-dropping golden soleplate. However, as awesome as the boots are, the magic of them didn’t help Ronaldo and co. in the Confed Cup opener, as Portugal blew a 2-1 lead in the final minutes against Mexico.

Paulo Dybala (Argentina) – adidas X 17+ PureSpeed Blackout

Since Dybala stepped into a pair of blackout Superfly V's months ago, rumours of an adidas deal have been floating around. And when Dybala then wore a blackout pair of X 17's during Argentina’s 6-0 win against Singapore, he just might have confirmed the rumours. Dybala would without doubt be an amazing addition to the Adidas squad, so it’s exciting to follow the development in his transfer from Nike to adidas.

Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Gary Medel (Chile) – Nike Magista Obra iD and Nike Mercurial Superfly iD

During Chile’s 2-0 win against Cameroon in the 2017 Confederations Cup, Vidal and Medel wore a Nike iD version of the Magista Obra, while Alexis Sanchez had stepped into some Nike Mercurial iD boots. Both iD versions are inspired by the Chilean national colours and will match the trio’s kits perfectly during the tournament.

Dmitry Poloz (Russia) – adidas X 16+ PureSpeed ConfedCup

Let’s stay with the Confed Cup. In the opening match, Russian Dmitry Poloz feet were on fire. Poloz wore the brand new adidas X 16+ PureSpeed ConfedCup made specially for the big tournament in Russia. The visual art on the sides and at the toe box of the adidas X 16+ PureSpeed ConfedCup boots is inspired by the official Confederations Cup 2017 ball, the Krasava.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Mexico) – adidas Nemeziz 17.1

Chicharito goes for the Nemeziz. Javier Hernandez has a thing for white football boots and goes straight for them if he can and even though the Nemeziz launch colourway isn't completely whiteout, they are still white enough for him to rock. He scored one of Mexico’s goals, and he will look to score even more in the Confed Cup wearing his Nemeziz 17.1.

Tyronne del Pino (Tenerife) – Nike Mercurial Superfly iD

In the Spanish Segunda Division. Tenerife secured a spot in the promotion play-off final this weekend. Tyronne played the semifinal against Cadiz in his fire red/yellow/black colourway of the Nike Mercurial Superfly iD, and he's gonna face Getafe together with the rest of the Tenerife team in the fight for the last promotion spot to La Liga.

Timo Werner (Germany) – adidas Messi

A big part of this week’s boot spot has featured boots from the Confederations Cup, and the last spot does as well. But this is not a new boot spot. Werner is one the ‘Backed By Messi’ players, and against Australia he played in the adidas Messi, but we’re wondering why the German attacker didn’t put on the Nemeziz since Messi himself has changed to the new medical tape-inspired boots?
