Today Nike has presented two new colourful, eye-catching away kits for FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. The two big club’s are ready for revenge in the 17/18 season.
FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain faced each other in one of the most epic Champions League ties in recent years that saw the Catalans make a memorable comeback. However, both clubs had a tough 2016/17 season, as Barca saw Real Madrid snatch the La Liga and Champions League titles, while Monaco broke the PSG dominance in France. It’s all in the past now for Barca and PSG, and in the coming season they’re ready to bounce back and take revenge in their new away kits from Nike.
For the game that never stops.
The Barcelona 2017/18 away shirt introduces a new sky blue look for the club. The colour of the new away kit is quite similar to last season's Barcelona third kit that featured a bright green and black. The blue base of the Barcelona 2017/18 away shirt is paired with the club's traditional colors, blue and red, which are used for the lateral insets, striping around the back neck and the Nike logo on the left chest.
Sky blue or teal is a color that has proven popular for Barcelona away or third kits. Not only the last Barcelona third jersey, but also the 2010/11 away and more than a couple in the 1990’s have prominently featured such colors. This version is one of the most fresh and successful Barca away shirts, and there’s no doubt it will be popular among FC Barcelona fans.

Rai, Ronaldinho, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Maxwell, Marquinhos and Lucas Moura are some of the most prominent Brazilian players to represent PSG. This is a pretty solid list of players. And the new Paris Saint-Germain 2017/2018 away shirt certainly draws inspiration from the club’s strong ties to Brazil with its yellow colour and introduces a vibrant look for the club.
Template-wise, the PSG 2017/18 away jersey is based on the same template as the new Barcelona away shirt, and more broadly on the second iteration of Nike's Vapor template with Aeroswift technology. The shirt has a tonal v-collar and a thin, dark blue stripe runs down on each side of the jersey, while a beautiful navy-white-red band goes around the back of the neck.
