This morning Nike launched their newest innovation, which offers us a glimpse into the future of their infamous Mercurial collection. Although the main colourway is the black and orange, Nike have also introduced a secondary drop, which deserves just as much attention. Checkit!

The Nike Mercurial Vapor Flyknit Ultra is a Limited Edition drop, which we suspect has been made to show off some of the innovation that Nike will utilise on their 2018 World Cup football boots. Test boots are always made entirely blackout and therefore it seemed only right for Nike to go dark with their designs, even if these boots are finished products in their own right.

2,500 pairs of the Nike Mercurial Ultra Flyknit Vapor available in triple-black, and 1,500 pairs available in the black/metallic gold colorway. Sign up for your chance to cop here.

Continued below.

The two brilliant new colourways are technologically the same and we have actually already made a comprehensive tech run-through of the Nike Flyknit Ultra. Lots of people are being tempted to just calling this new boot a Superfly with a shorter collar, but that is certainly not the case. If you are a bit of a boot nerd and want to know exactly what makes these football boots so advanced, then click the link just below here and read more about how Nike have modified the Flyknit used on the boot.
