Adidas Gamedayplus: The idea behind the Primeknit 2.0

Tonight we will find the first semi-finalists in this years Champions League and we naturally warm up for the big game with another round of Gameday Plus from adidas. Apart from meeting Morata, Llorente and James Rodriguez we get an exclusive look at the new Primeknit 2.0.

It’s been a long journey for adidas before being able to present the Primeknit 2.0. The concept behind the football boot was built on the idea of creating a football boot, which could deliver ultimate comfort. This resulted in the Samba Primeknit, which came in extremely limited stock.

Then came the adidas concept boot, the FS Primeknit, which never made an appearance on the pitch, just like the Adizero FS never made it further than the innovation lab. They took the learnings from the two prototypes and developed the Primeknit 2.0, which came out as the second launch in adidas’ new “Limited Collection” series.
