Unisport Boot Spots | Stars wearing the Stellar Pack

Once again we've had a weekend with lots of interesting results. Manchester United suddenly remembered how to play football and Liverpool looks like a team who could be serious contestant this year. But this is all about the boot spots - and we have a couple of interesting ones here...

Karim Benzema & Luis Suarez (Real Madrid & FC Barcelona) – adidas X 16.1 Stellar Pack

With two of the deadliest strikers in the adidas Stellar Pack, they probably sit with a big fat smile in the adidas HQ in Herzogenaurauch right now. And that is even though none of the two, neither Benzema nor Suarez, are wearing the PureChaos which, let's be honest, they probably would prefer in adidas. Nevertheless, with both guys scoring in the new amazing colourway, showing off the design, I'm pretty sure they can live with it in Germany.

Team PureControl – adidas ACE 16+ PureControl Speed of Light

You would've thought that they'd be tripping on their toes to get out and play in the new Stellar Pack design on Team PureControl. However, led on by Pogba (who finally showed some of the stardust he's been hiding from us) the entire Team PureControl was wearing the Speed of Light version. This included Mata, Özil, Draxler and Dele Alli. Not a single one of them wore the Stellar Pack. You got to presume, however, that all the players will change to the Stellar Pack when they play in the Champions League this week.

Ashley Young & Alvaro Arbeloa (Manchester United & West Ham) – adidas X 16.1 & ACE 16.1 (Ukendt)

In a design that looks a lot like a blackouted version of the Stellar Pack, both Ashley Young and Arbeloa showed off the colours in the EFL Cup and again in the weekend. It's a leather version and I'm thinking that this colourway isn't a miadidas - however they are not on sale either. What's even more interesting though, is how Ashley Young has cut his sock. Exactly what the motive is, I don't know, but apparently he's not alone in this...

Jesse Lingard (Manchester United) – adidas X 16.1 Speed of Light

Because Jesse Lingard seems to have done the exact same thing in his Speed of Light version. Lingard even takes his customed fit to the next level by only lacing up halfway. I must say I don't have a clue about what they are doing and what this does for them. But I'm curious. Have you done or thought about doing the same thing?

Francesco Totti (AS Roma) – Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Spark Brilliance (Custom)

Francesco Totti. What a legend. You just can't seem to stop this guy. Wearing his classic customised Nike Tiempo Legend 6, with the tradition fold over tongue, Totti once again sealed off his status as the emperor of Rome with another goal. Unfortunately, this time it wasn't enough for his team, who lost 1-3 as visitors in Torino.

Michail Antonio (West Ham) – Umbro Velocita Blue/White/Purple

Sometimes you can tend to think that the world of football boots only contain Nike and adidas. But to be fair, a lot of other brands deliver extremely well made and good looking boots. One of them is Umbro, who recently launched an updated colourway for their speed boot Velocita. And Michail Antonio from West Ham seem to recognise their effort. And we appreciate that, cause Umbro doesn't get the recognition they deserve!

Granit Xhaka (Arsenal) – Under Armour ClutchFit Force 2.0 UA20

And then theres Granit Xhaka, who's had a great start in his new adventure in London. This weekend he helped Arsenal smashing Chelsea in his first London Derby, although he only came in a sub. It was however with enough time for him to show off the latest release from Under Armour - the UA20 design that was made as a celebration of their 20th anniversary as a sports brand. Not too bad for Under Armour that Xhaka already have made a couple of screamers wearing this design.
