Causing quite the splash this week was Under Armour, who released their Aqua Pack. As the name implies, the inspiration is water and as the pictures illustrate the execution from UA is on-point!

Under Armour have really only been on the football scenes radar for a few years, but are with a number of big club signings and an ever growing roster of superstars very much on the come up. Currently they have all their focus on two boot silos that cover the two main player profiles in football, with the flashy and aggressive speed boot and the classy control boot.

The Under Armour Spotlight is made for the modern athlete, who thrives in the spotlight. The lights, the cameras and the journalists constantly swarming them only gives them energy and on match day the increased pressure gives them fuel to perform. This Limited Edition Aqua Pack design will do nothing to dampen that spirit and neither will the boots technologies, which all help make players more explosive.

The majority of the Spotlights upper is made from a soft synthetic, but around the instep and across the middle part of the medial side of the boot, it is made with a stretch material that adapts to your feets shape better than any other material in the world would. This not only provides you with a better fit, it also improves your ball control in this area, because you get a closer feel for the ball.

The Under Armour Clutchfit 3.0 was launched just months ago and the versatile boot has already made a very good impression. Granit Xhaka is the boots biggest ambassador and uses the boots exceptional first touch and control to dominate games. This feel for the ball and control comes thanks to the SpeedForm upper, which like the Spotlight’s is stretchable, and adapts to your movements and natural foot shape. A snug and close fit is absolutely key to a good touch on the ball, so that’s what Under Armour put heavy focus on with the ClutchFit. It also clocks in at just 209 grams, which is an incredibly impressive weight for a boot designed for control.
