Three lines, four levels, one swoosh. Nike football boots come as Mercurial, Phantom and Tiempo, in Elite, Academy and Club versions with Pro in some lines, for grass, artificial grass, turf and indoor courts. The size guide on each product page uses measurements provided by Nike. They are general measurements for Nike footwear, not for the specific model. Boots can be personalised with up to 5 letters and a flag or emoji.Read more

Mercurial, Phantom or Tiempo?

Each Nike line is built around a different feel on the foot.

LineBuilt around
MercurialSpeed, with a tighter, more direct feel
PhantomPrecision when passing and shooting
TiempoA soft, flexible fit and close contact with the ball

Position matters less than feel. Pick the line whose fit and touch you like, then choose the level.

Elite, Pro, Academy and Club

Elite is the top version, with the most advanced construction. Pro sits just below it in some lines, such as Tiempo Ligera Pro. Academy is built for players who train and play regularly. Club is the entry level for occasional games.

Materials and construction change between levels, so two boots from the same line can fit differently. Size the exact boot you are buying.

Nike's soleplate codes

Next to FG, MG, SG, AG, TF and IC, Nike also uses two Pro codes. SG-Pro is for soft, wet natural grass. AG-Pro is for artificial grass. Not every model comes with every sole, so use the surface filter above the products to see what fits your pitch.

How do Nike boots fit?

Mercurial has the tighter, more direct feel. Tiempo sits close as well, but its soft upper feels different on the foot. Fit also changes between generations of the same line, as with Tiempo Maestro, Ligera and Legend. Measure your foot in the evening in match socks and compare it with the size guide on the product page. The guide gives Nike's general measurements, so treat it as a starting point and allow for the differences between lines described above. Kids' boots have "Kids" in the product name.
