adidas Predator LZ SL is the lightweight version of the popular control boot that we see on the feet of Xavi, Nani and Van Persie, among others. adidas have done a great job reducing the weight on the new Predator LZ and have replaced the Hybrid Touch upper with a Sprint Skin microfiber upper, thus keeping the weight at an impressive 205g. With the Predator LZ SL you get a unique combination of both elegant lightweight, raw power and pleasant ball control - a rather rare accomplishment. The 5 zones on the boot each have their own effect on your play and ensure that you will have the best possible ball control. the 'dribble' zone, located on the outside of the boot, is made from little fins and calls for many small touches on the ball. They also have little ridges to ensure optimal ball grip. The boot comes with a super lightweight inlay sole that keeps the weight down, as well as, a comfort inlay sole, if you should prefer to use those. The first touch zone is located on the forefoot area and is designed to give immediate ball contact via small pitted fins. Hereby the speed of the ball is absorbed and the result is immediate ball control. Sweet spot is a zone located on the inside of the big toe and provides longer contact time with the ball. This ensures greater spin and pace, which may just be the difference between a goal and a goal kick. The drive-zone is located on the instep of the foot and has 3D-fins that add power and precision both when you pass or strike for the goal. The zone follows the movement of the foot in order to ensure that there is always an area as large as possible in contact with the ball. The last zone is Pass, which is located on the inside of the foot and is made from Memory Foam. This material will remember how the boot fits your foot, hereby creating a plain surface on the boot for best possible precision. adidas have, of course, also designed the super light SprintFrame with space for their miCoach unit. miCoach works via a small chip in the boot that tracks and analyses your data from match or training, which you can then share and compare with your friends in the miCoach universe.
