The MercurialX Proximo is the very first shoe from Nike’s brand new MercurialX collection. FootballX isn’t about playing by the rules, and with a new and revolutionising concept, Nike give you the very best chance of owning street court bragging rights around the world! The name FootballX refers to the amount of players on each team in a "Five-a-side" game and with the new MercurialX you get a revolutionising boot that builds on previous success. This MercurialX Proximo is a limited edition, so you have to be quick if you want to secure your pair. The upper on the MercurialX is made from the supple Flyknit, which we also see used on the Mercurial Superfly and Magisa Obra. It is a so-called "one-piece" upper, which means the upper is made from a single piece of Flyknit, from heel to toe. To give increased lockdown effect, Nike have removed the tongue and equipped the MercurialX with their revolutionising Dynamic Fit Collar. This "collar" goes above your ankle, so the shoe isn’t just a part of your foot, but rather an extension of your leg. Nike have also incorporated their Brio-cables in the upper, so you get good stability and comfort. The Brio-cables help keep your feet in place, while also making sure the upper doesn’t collapse. To ensure the closest touch on the ball the upper is coated with NikeSkin, which gives the shoe a 3D like texture that creates friction between the shoe and ball. The texture also gives extraordinary amounts of grip on the ball and always leaves you in complete control. The outsole is designed to give a good grip on both the ball and pitch, which means you are always in control, when playing in the little pockets of space on the pitch. To give extra support for the foot, it has an EVA mid-sole, which gives great shock-absorbency, when you play on harder surfaces. Indoor shoe with a non-marking sole for polished indoor surfaces. Please note that the glittering effect will fade as the boot is used. However, this will not affect the performance of the boot.
