This limited edition of PUMA King, pays tribute to Lothar Matthäus, one the greatest German footballers ever. 25 years ago, West Germany and Lothar Matthäus won the World Cup in Italy. Being the captain, he was the first to lift the trophy. He also holds the record for most matches played at a world cup and most caps for the German national team. He made 25 appearances at the World Cup, in 5 different competitions; and has over 150 caps for Germany. Based on his excellent performance as team captain for West Germany in the 1990 World Cup, where they won - he was honoured with the Ballon d’Or award. Wearing his PUMA Kings for his Italian club Inter Milan, he became the first ever to be awarded the FIFA World Player of the year in 1991.
