AeroSwift technology
AeroSwift technology is made from a combination of single and double knitted yarn. The shirt is single knitted in the areas where you need breathability the most and double knitted the areas where you need a more stronger structure. The construction method is so detailed, that the ventilations holes are directly implemented in the shirt from the beginning. The yarn has a textured upper and is also rich, which makes Nike able to use less yarn without the risk of the being transparent. As a result the Vapor shirts with AeroSwift technology are 10% lighter, 50% more stretch and dries 25% quicker than the earlier shirts. The new yarn also have a brushed quality, which makes it very comfortable against the skin.
Details that shows the pride of the nation
On the chest the iconic Nike Swoosh and the French football federation, Fédération Française de Football, logo is printed. A single star is printed above the FFF logo, which symbolizes World Cup gold which they won in 1998, where they as host country won the tournament with a team full of stars. Some of the names where Patrick Vieira, Marcel Desailly, Robert Pirès and Thierry Henry. "France" has been knitted in the neck and on the sleeves, which can be rolled up, the text "Fierté Bleue", which means pride and blue are knitted. On the inside of the shirt, directly under the FFF logo, a hexagonal structure/pattern/symbol is framed with the text "Nos Differences Nous Unissent", which translated means "Our Differences Unite Us" Both the symbol and text represents the varied multicultural groups of people which the Modern France posses. The knitted areas on the chest is designed as a geometrical pattern which increases the fit and gives a more aesthetic and superhero look.
Revolutionized Vapor shorts
Nike has for the first time developed shirts for Football shorts, which are manufactured from the same yarn. The AeroSwift secures you the optimal combination of lightweight stretch and structure, which is necessary for the shorts to become comfortable and so they can perform on the highest level. The shorts has also a newly designed elastic waist, so you don't need laces in the shorts any more. The new design makes it able for you to get a close fit, which in the same time also is comfortable. As the mesh stripes on the shirt and shorts, the elastic waist also consist of a meshpanel which increases the breathability.
NikeGRIP socks
The NikeGRIP technology is developed with inspiration from the feet of the Gecko. The Gecko have thousands of small hairs, which makes them able to climb on vertical surfaces and also allowing them to have a grip on all kinds of surfaces. Nike uses ultra fine nano fibre, which gives even more contact areas between your foot, sock and the boot, than normal fibres. Furthermore, the socks have a mixture of nano fibres and traditional fibres, which are used during the manufacture of the the socks, because this gives a greater surface area. The development of the ultimate fibre on the socks are not the only thing which gives a perfect anti slip solution. To have the correct amount of grip different the correct places is also very important. To little grip may make you slip in the boot, while to much grip decreases your mobility. Therefore, the designers have increased the contact areas from the heel to the big toe, which is the line where the pressure is put along the foot. In reverse they also removed material from the areas where it wasn't necessary by adding the extra contact areas.
