Victor Valdes is one of the worlds best goalkeepers. This is why Sells have seen it only fit to provide him with his very own collection, with gloves designed to his own specification.
VV Excel 4 Guard is an all-round good glove, which provides good latex-to-ball contact and an excellent fit.
The palm is made with Sells' 4mm Supersoft latex, which is a super soft latex that provides excellent shock-absorbency. Furthermore it has a good grip, which helps you when you need to restart the game quickly, or collect the ball as it is crossed.
The gloves are made with the Sells Radial Cut, which is made entirely to Victor Valdes' own preferences. The cut is basically a flat palm cut, but it is updated, so the top of the latex on the little finger, index finger and thumb goes all the way around the finger. This gives better ball control and a tighter fit. On the long finger and ring finger it is still a classic cut.
Moreover it is a double surround cut, which gives a tight fit at the thumb and again increased the ball control.
The backhand is made with Airflow technology, which provides good ventilation for increased comfort. Furthermore the backhand is covered in a 3 mm Supersoft latex, which in turn gives good protection when you need to box the ball away.
On the finger it has Sells Guard System, as well as Zorba zones, which mean you fingers don't bend back.
The glove is made with a 7 cm text-style bandage and a wide latex strap. This gives good protection of the wrist and allows you to get a personal fit.
