Match ball or training ball?

Match balls usually have thermally bonded panels. They hold their shape and take in less water. Training balls are often machine-stitched and handle daily use on artificial grass better. Replica versions of tournament balls copy the design with a simpler build.

The FIFA Quality Pro and FIFA Quality marks show that a ball passed FIFA's lab tests for weight, roundness, rebound and water uptake. FIFA Quality Pro is the highest of FIFA's three ball marks, followed by FIFA Quality and FIFA Basic.

Pressure and care

  • The correct pressure is printed next to the valve.
  • Wet the pump needle before you insert it. It protects the valve.
  • Wipe off mud after use and let the ball dry at room temperature.
  • Don't leave it in a hot car. Don't sit on it.
