The new World Cup football for FIFA World Cup 2022 is a ball you have never seen before. First of all, one of the main innovations on the ball is the Speedshell. The total amount of panels of the ball is 20 and it consists of two different shapes. With this ball adidas wanted to celebrate the people and the game with impossible moments, make the ball fast like never before, more sustainable, man an impossible innovation. But first and foremost, making football truly inclusive, making the World Cup more human, the people’s game and reconnecting the world, leaving a legacy.

The ball gives you maximum control and accuracy, which gives higher precision when shooting the ball. Supporting the growing speed of the game. But enough about the techs, let us just have a look at the design of the ball. The adidas 2022 FIFA World Cup official Match ball combines white with a multicolour design. So the ball is mainly white, but has a modern design with multiple colours - reconnecting the world. On the side of the ball you will see the text ‘Al Rihla’ which is an Arabic word, meaning ‘a journey’ or the travelogue that documents it.
