Ready well in time for the Confederations Cup adidas introduce a new home-kit for the German national team. Mixing contemporary with classic.

Before we start, please take a second to think back to the last time you saw a Germany national team shirt that didn’t look good. Yeah, it just doesn’t really happen does it? 2017 won’t be the year to break that winning streak from adidas either, as they mix a bit of old with a bit of new and create match shirt magic for die Mannschaft.

The 2017 Germany shirt noticeably takes its inspiration from the unforgettable 1990 Germany away-shirt, which although it certainly divides opinion in the original green design, looks nothing short of sensational on the white home-strip. Add to that the retro cut collar that comes in the colours of the German flag, as well as the element of cool that always comes with the World Cup winners badge, and you have something pretty special on your hands.

The Germany shirt for 2017 is available from the 7th of November, so you don’t have to wait long to secure your own.

Germany have to be seen as pretty big favourites for the 2017 Confederations Cup, with their opponents being Mexico, Russia, New Zealand, Chile, Australia, Portugal and whoever wins the Africa Cup of nations. This may therefore very well be the shirt you see accompanied by medals, when the Confederations Cup winner is found next summer and I don’t think I’ll be shocking anybody either, if I say it is well worthy of that honour.
