Are you ready to have your monday blues cured? Then, without further ado let me present to you the New Balance Furon 2.0 Hydra Edition that features a water reactive upper. Say what? Yes.

We've formerly seen boots that change colour when exposed to heat, but this right here, this is a first. New Balance have developed an upper that reacts when exposed to water and that does sound a lot more likely to happen than to play a game of footy in Death Valley. The way it works is beyond my basic understanding of science, but what I can tell you is where it works. The upper is primarily silver and will remain so, come rain or snow, but the white 'N' logo and the white area around the heel and lacing, that's where the magic happens!

If said areas are exposed to water they will turn from white to a colour New Balance have dubbed Vivid Cactus. If that's not enough to peak your interest you just need to keep in mind that you still get all the tech that sets the Furon 2.0 apart from the rest. The hybrid mesh upper gives you a clean striking surface and a precise touch on the ball and when you combine that with the lockdown you get from the top line lacing and the grip provided by the ultra-directional studs, you're set to explode on the pitch in stellar fashion!

The last limited edition football boots from New Balance were the Visaro Signal, but this time around it's the Furon 2.0 that gets the selective treatment. Just like the players destined to wear this boot, the colourway is very hard to miss, The New Balance Furon 2.0 is engineered to meet the needs of the type of player that preys on that on game-changing moment on which they can assert themselves on the game and affect the scoreline in their favour.

We do not have to wait long to see the official debut of the New Balance Furon 2.0 Hydra Limited Edition, as we're expecting to see Manchester City's Jesus Navas lace them up for his teams away trip to AS Monaco. Despite travelling to the Principality of Monaco with a 5-3 lead, The Citizens could definitely use some attacking brilliance from the feet of Navas, as Monaco are averaging a whopping 3 goals per home game! Will Navas and has his New Balance Furon 2.0 Hydra Limited Edition boots secure the win?
