Lionel Messi has played in adidas boots for 8 years. Adidas celebrate this by equipping the Argentinian superstar with his own silo - Messi 10.1. The boots design is inspired by the graffiti that you see all over the streets of Messi’s hometown, Rosario. It is furthermore fitted with ’die drei Streifen’, so you get a boot with an eye-catching and thorough design. The upper on the Messi 10.2 is made with adidas' k-leather emulating upper called Hybridtouch, which combines all the advantages of both synthetic and leather. It is an incredibly supple and thin material, which wraps itself around your foot. The Hybridtouch material on the Messi 10.2 is made slightly thicker. Furthermore the boot is lined with a soft material, so you get increased padding and protection. The upper is, like we see on the Messi 10.1, coated with a special 3D texture. This texture is developed to give increased grip on the ball, when you dribble at full throttle, regardless of it being wet or dry weather. The outsole is built up around adidas’ classic Traxion sole, which gives a good grip on the pitch, so you can get maximal acceleration. With FG studs for firm ground surfaces such as grass.
