Now the German sports brand is ready to present the adidas X David Beckham Capsule Collection - to celebrate the long partnership and the Predator Collection that David Beckham personified. Naturally, David Beckham has played an integral part in designing the collection, three remastered versions of the Predator Accelerator - his personal favourite, as he wore these during many of his career highlights. The inspiration is based on the three colours; black red and white, and some of his career highlights. The colours are synonymous with the Predator silo, that is amongst the most iconic boots ever designed. As an extra touch, the font used is identical to the original font. The Triple Red version symbolises Beckham's career at Manchester United and on the English national team, for whom he wore the shirt number 7. Both shirt number and Beckham is printed on the right heel and on the insoles. Each boot features two separate time stamps, representing amazing goals. The left boot features 17.08.96 and 90’ - referring to the absolute screamer he scored from the midfield against Wimbledon, putting Manchester United 3-0 up. Maximum energy transfer and shock absorption The boot is fitted with the Boost midsole to provide you with optimum energy transfer in every step - both on and off the court. The boost technology that is created with small polyurethane "capsules", that are moulded together in the sole. They work by absorbing the energy from the shock that you generate, and afterwards convert it to energy in your steps and gives you great momentum. The outsole is made from skidproof rubber, to allow for stability and better grip on the surface.
