The shoe is therefore made with an upper of light and breathable mesh. The mesh material is coated with Nike’s popular NikeSkin, which helps give optimal grip on the ball. The upper provides a fantastic fit and super comfort, while the weight is kept as low as at all possible. In addition the NikeSkin upper also gives you a good grip on the ball, because the golf ball like structure creates great amounts of friction between the shoe and ball. Around the shoes opening and where you would usually find the tongue, Nike have implemented a breathable neoprene material. At the same time Nike have removed the tongue, which we also see on the Mercurial Vapor X. This means the shoe has a single piece upper, which gives a tighter and more comfortable fit. The Phylon mid-sole gives the shoe a low profile, so you get a good, sharp touch on the ball, as well as excellent shock-absorbency. In addition the shoes outsole is designed to give a good grip on both the ball and court, so you are always in complete control on the small areas of the pitch.
