Puma evoSPEED 1.4 is Puma’s new speed flagship and once again the boot lives up to the high expectations we have for the German brands speed boot. • Synthetic upper, weight at 205 grams • For the player who wants speed and ball control • Worn by Marco Verratti and Santi Cazorla Light microfibre upper with good stability The boot is made with a single layer of microfibre, which is both flexible and durable. This soft microfibre material helps give you a tight and secure touch on the ball, regardless of you playing in wet or dry weather conditions. To give you the necessary stability PUMA have incorporated their Speedframe. This construction works as a skeleton for the thin upper and gives structure and support when you want to perform quick twists and turns. In addition the boot is equipped with an external heel counter, which makes sure you get increased comfort and stability. The heel counter also makes sure you are always locked in the boot, so you get the perfect fit. The right mix between explosiveness and manoeuvrability The outsole is constructed from a light PEBAX material, which gives good flexibility. Furthermore PUMA have equipped the sole with their Speedtrack torsionbar, which we know from PUMA’s sprinting shoes. The Speedtrack technology helps give the right balance between stability in the mid foot and flexibility in the front foot. The perfect balance is also something you get with the stud-configuration, which is made with a mixture of conical and bladed studs. The conical studs make sure you can move quickly, even in the tightest of areas, while the other studs make sure you get an aggressive grip of the pitch, so you can quickly accelerate and reach your top speed fast.
