The knitting is carried out in such a way that the shorts offers increased ventilation and the use of less yarn, without creating transparent shorts. Yet Nike has accomplished shorts that is 10% lighter, 50% more stretch and dries 25% faster.
With Nike's breathable Flyvent waistband you get a nice tight fit. And with less stitching these shorts are perfect on top of your baselayer.
