Benfica 3D Puzzle Estadio da Luz
Product description
3D replica of the legendary Estádio da Luz, home ground for the portuguese club S.L. Benfica. The now famous stadium opened in 2003, seats 66.147 spectators - located in the portuguese capital of Lissabon. It was built as part of the preparations for the European Championship 2004. It is designed by architect Damon Lavelle, who envisioned a stadium filled with light. This idea is represented in the name of the stadium: Estadio da Luz (Stadium of Light) - similar to the stadium of Sunderland A.F.C. The roof has been designed in such a way, that it allows the maximum amount of direct sunlight to reach the pitch. That feature combined with the natural warmth climate in Portugal, it is no surprise that the stadium is a fan favorite. In 2017 the stadium hosted the Champions League final, between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid winning 4-1. A more special feature of the stadium, is that it is home for the club mascot of Vitoria the eagle. Vitoria takes 3 flying laps of the stadium, before all games. The legends says, that the higher the eagle soares - the better Benfica will play. The puzzle is made from 141 pieces, and requires no tool or glue. Building time: 2 hours Ideal for 7 years and up.
