In an attempt to battle out Ajax Amsterdam, three minor local clubs joined forces with the goal to beat out the rivals. They achieved a respectable 5th place in their second seaon, gaining access to the UEFA Cup where they managed to defeat the might Inter Milan. And their goal to beat Ajax Amsterdam? Failed. Just 10 years after being founded, the club was closed down.
