Inside Veo Cam 3, two synchronised video streams are stitched into one panoramic image covering 180° of the pitch. AI reads that panorama, finds where play is and crops it into a 1080p follow-cam view. Tracking starts as soon as recording does.
The full panorama is kept too. In Interactive Mode you pan and zoom across the pitch yourself, which helps when the analysis is about off-ball movement, such as a back line stepping up or a winger holding width. After every recording, SteadyView reduces shake caused by wind or movement. Wind noise reduction is a separate toggle.
The two cameras record the same way. The difference is how they get online.
If you only record and upload back at the clubhouse, the standard model does the job. If you plan to livestream from pitches with weak or no Wi-Fi, go for the 5G version. On either model, a stable stream needs a strong connection with enough upload bandwidth.
The camera records. The software is where you watch the match. Veo requires an active subscription for each camera to watch and analyse recordings in Veo Editor. Plans vary by club size and the features you need. Plan for it before buying the hardware.
Veo Editor includes:
Veo Analytics 2 is an add-on that works on top of Veo Editor. It links heat maps, shot maps and pass maps to the video. Veo Vision shows a selected player's speed and distance over the footage. Livestreams run through Veo Live, with the option to add a team logo and sponsor overlays.
Veo Cam 3 is mounted on a tall tripod and raised above the pitch. Veo offers two carbon-fibre tripods as accessories. Check the product page to see whether one is included with the camera you choose.
| Tripod | Max height | Weight | Collapsed length |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 5.2 m | 6.1 kg | 131 cm |
| Large | 7.4 m | 7.1 kg | 161 cm |
The small tripod packs 30 cm shorter and weighs a kilo less. That matters for a coach carrying it to away games. The large one lifts the camera 2.2 metres higher for a steeper angle on play. Moving the camera between mounts takes seconds.

Veo states that the camera keeps recording in rain or snow. Battery figures drop in cold weather and with heavy network use during streams. Internal storage is fixed, so upload after each match day and start the next fixture with an empty camera.
Setup takes four steps: put up the tripod, mount the camera, raise it and tap to start recording. Only registered members of your club's Veo Clubhouse connect to and control the camera through the Veo Camera app. No password is needed. Control works from a phone at long range, so the coach starting the recording can stay on the touchline.
