The shirt is made with Nike's Dri-FIT material, which diverts sweat away from the body, so you are kept dry and comfortable. Furthermore you find mesh panels, which give optimal ventilation. The fit is very tight, so you get maximal compression.
The shirt is made with a mock collar, which covers more of the neck area, to give increased protection from the elements.
The ergonomically flat seams reduce skin irritation and help give the natural movability you need.
