Hi-Vis Nike Merlin footballs | Getting football ready for the winter

This year Nike introduced their all new Nike Merlin footballs for the best leagues in the world. Now they are ready to launch their popular Hi-Vis footballs, which they do every year towards the winter.

During winter and darker days, and especially during the snowy days, a white football can be hard to see during training or match. Many things can be decided by random factors, and this is not something that Nike is interested in.

The Nike Merlin Hi-Vis are made as a solution for this, and they come with the same design as the regular Merlin match balls, just with a Hi-Vis orange/yellow colour. Furthermore, the Nike Merlin footballs are made with purple frames and bright red details and branding, which we also saw last year on the Nike Ordem 5 Hi-Vis footballs.

These Hi-Vis Nike footballs are still packed with the same innovations as seen on the match balls used in the leagues at the moment. This includes a new panel construction, allowing Nike to create a ball by using fewer panels, making them go away from a classic 12 panel design to only using 4 panels. Furthermore, they also include the ACC technology, which secures you the best possible touch and control in all kinds of weather including snowy days!

Sadly some clubs don’t have the high standards of pitches, floodlights and all the other pro stuff, which allows teams to play undisturbed throughout the winter. But these match balls comes handy for the rest of us non-pros, which makes us able to see the football better during the snowy days.
