They're made to celebrate Cristiano Ronaldos Ballon d'Or-win from January. They're made in only 100 pairs worlwide. They're white, black and gold. We've taken a closer look at the new boot, so join us as we go closer to the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX CR SE White/Black/Gold.

When Cristiano Ronaldo was named the World's Best Football Player in January for the second time in his carreer, we probably weren't the only ones who thought that Nike would launch an awesome commemorative football boot for Ronaldo, celebrating his Ballon d'Or win.

The football boot is only made in a mere 100 pairs worldwide, and therefore they're some of the most limited football boots we've ever had to pleasure of shooting - just like the other Nike Mercurial Vapor IX CR SE, which was also made for Ronaldo.

The football boot is made with a white upper with a large Nike-swoosh, which is relavtively simple and clean. The outsole, on the other hand, catches the eye. It's made in, yeah you guessed it, gold. The reasoning for that is preety straight forward - gold is a reference to Ronaldo winning the Ballon d'Or; the Golden Ball.

The golden colour is not the only feature on Cristianos Mercurial Vapor IX CR SE though, and to mark that the football boot is produced exclusively for Ronaldo, Nike have swapped their NIKE block text on the inside of the heel with a CR7 text.

Even cooler, Nike have underlined the exclusivity of the Vapor IX CR SE by numbering each pair individually on the right boot - just to remind you that you're holding a very desireable football boot in your hands. The numbers are laser etched, by the way. Because they can, that's why.

Except for the very limited production run, it's as you were for the Vapor IX CR SE. The football boot is made with the OLM12 synthetic upper made by the japanese specialists at Teijin. It features the typical leather finish that Ronaldo prefers - and, at the same time, it's only made in SG-Pro, also preferred by the Portuguese superstar.

To add even more coolness to the boot, Nike have equipped Cristianos own football boot with his signature on the insole to give it an even more personal touch, just in case you were to forget who the boot is made for.

To many, the box that the boots arrive in is exactly that - a box. But on the Vapor IX CR SE, there's a bit more to it. The box is designet to follow the design on Ronaldo's football boots. It's white with a tone-in-tone CR7 logo on the front as well as a small, golden Nike swoosh to top it all off. Also, since the boot is made with the SG-Pro outsole, Nike have put additional studs - gold, obviously - in the box for good measure. Can't deny it's a classy little box.

There's already being speculated about when we will see these magnificent football boots on the pitch, and very fittingly Cristiano Ronaldo will wear them in the Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona. Picture it; Ronaldo in his White/Black Real Madrid kit with a pair of white, black and gold football boots. He's going to look every bit as fast as he is.

Now there might be some of you out there thinking "I have to own a pair of these - how?" Luckily we will do an exclusive competition at one point - but that's all we're going to say at the moment. Stay tuned.
