Ajax is a proud football club with a great history. It’s one of the most successful clubs in European football.
We all know the iconic red and white Ajax home shirt. The design is recognizable all over the world. No one can change the look of this. But the away shirt is where adidas have time to play with the colours, design and looks. And that’s what they have done with the 2020/21 away shirt.
The shirt has a icy blue base. It’s a fresh and vibrant colour which really stands out and looks a lot different from this season’s dark colours in green and orange.
We see an "art"-like design with details in different shades of blue. The diagonal stripes gives us a feeling of brush strokes and it disrupts the simple and clean look of the shirt. The Ajax logo is kept in the same colours as the home shirt - red and white. And it really stands out! The red colour is also seen on the line of the collar. The adidas stripes and sponsor is kept in white. It's really an eye catching design and it's going to create some attention.
