It feels like forever since the Champions League was last on. But it is actually “just” about 20 days since we saw Messi beat Raul's all time scoring record. Luckily it's now back on, with plenty of exciting matches coming up, and true to custom adidas have been out and about in Europe to visit some of the clubs that will be on display.

Adidas Gamedayplus is the series that focuses on the Champions League and the clubs and players who time after time have the players of listening to the iconic Champions League anthem. It is an excellent opportunity to come close to some of the biggest personalities in the world of football.

This week, adidas have been by Gelsenkirchen to look at Schalke 04 and their Japanese right back Atsuto Uchida, on the training grounds with Chelsea's Diego Costa, Felipe Luis and Anders Christensen and then round it all up with five quickies for Bastion Schweinsteiger.

Chelsea are going to try and make it through from the group stage as the tonight visit Veltins-Arena. If a corner challenge is the best way to go we're not sure, but we surely learned that Felipe Luis is ahead of Anders Christensen when it comes to taking corners.

And while the Schalke greenkeepers are busy taking care of the pitch, there was time for a chat with Atsuto Uchida who has been experiencing great success in Germany since his move from Japanese Kashima Antlers. Uchida is ready to make things tough for Mourinho and co. tonight, as they go out to try and create a good starting point for the last round for themselves.

With Bayern Munich we find a different kind of calmness, as the German champions have already done the business and secured advancement in convincing style. Schweinsteiger did also seem rather light hearted; and he even aced it when asked about his own, as well as Bayern Munich's statistics...

On top of Champions League, there was also time to look at the new adidas Hunt Series, which, as you may know, glows in the dark. Have you had a chance to test the glow in the dark effect yet?
