A few days ago, we saw adidas launch the Arsenal third shirt. A shirt, which combined The Gunners’ history with adidas’ EQT heritage into a new and modern third shirt. The same is now the case for Manchester United, as adidas once again are taking inspiration from an old iconic shirt and their own EQT heritage in order to create a stunning shirt for United. Let’s check it out!
The new Manchester United third shirt has a base of dark blue and black with some nice yellow details. The shirt has an all-over graphic, which looks like arrows. The stripes on the collarbones are yellow and the same are the sponsor logos on the sleeve and front. The adidas logo on the chest is quite special. The lettering is yellow and the three tilted stripes are blue.
Men varför är det så? adidas-loggan har två färger för att de firar 30 år av EQT-kollektionen. EQT startade en ny era för adidas och är en viktig del av märket, även idag. Förutom att hylla den här kollektionen så har tröjan också referenser till Manchester United bortatröja 1993-95. Så tröjan har hämtat inspiration från två kända fotbolls-historier.
