The new La Liga season kicks off in about a week and to celebrate the return the league, which is home to superstars like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, we thought we would take a look at the stars of the future, with a top five list of the biggest talents in the Spain. This is just my own list, but trust me, these all turn out insane in football manager, so if nothing else, they are worth keeping in mind for that.

5. - Álvaro Vadillo (Winger) - Real Betis

He’s actually been an established starter for Real Betis for quite some time, so he’s not really waiting to break through, because he already has. However when you then consider his very tender age of just 20, he has to be in and among the players to watch this season.

4. - Zakaria Bakkali (Winger) - Valencia CF

Don’t worry, it’s not like I’m only picking wingers, there just happens to be lots of very talented young wingers in the Spanish top flight right now. Bakkali is one of them, despite not having played a single game for Valencia yet. 19, hungry for goals, powerful and quick - has the makings of a future superstar.

3. - Iñaki Williams (Striker) - Athletic Bilbao

Athletic Bilbao are known for their rule of only using Basque players, so Inaki has attracted even more attention than he otherwise would, by only the second black player in the club’s history. He’s already played for Spain U21 and this could very well be his breakthrough year, where he really asserts himself as a star. Get him in FIFA 16 guys - beeast!

2. - Alen Halilovic (Attacking midfielder) - Barcelona

He already made waves at a very young age and Barcelona were quick to snag him up. He is already featuring for the Croatian national team and it’s exciting to see how far his talents can take him. He’s probably not going to play much for the Barcelona A team, so maybe a loan move away would be prudent? I could imagine quite a lot of clubs would like him.

1. - Saúl Ñíguez (Midfielder) - Atlético Madrid

It’s always a hard to rank young players, because in truth, some of these players could turn out not to be everything we had hoped for. I just don’t see that happening with Saul Niguez, who has already played plenty for Atletico Madrid and is looking to become a permanent starter. He is only 20 and could turn out to be one of the very best players in the world in a few years. Time will tell. He scored an overhead kick on his debut against Real Madrid, so he’s probably got a little something special about him.

This list is comprised of players who have only played a couple of first team matches and are likely to get their big chance this season. That’s why already established stars like Varane aren’t in there and honestly calm down about Martin Ødegaard, he shouldn't play for a couple of years yet. Do you agree with the list, or is there someone you would have liked to see instead? Let us know in the comment-section down below.
