Back in 1990 Germany won the World Cup lead by the legend Lothar Matthüs. The year after he also lifted the trophy in the Uefa Cup with his club, Inter Milan. That same year he was acknowledged with the FIFA World Player of the Year. All of this happened in a pair of PUMA King and that is why PUMA have presented this special KING LM 1990

When a legend meets a legend, magic happens. And that was exactly what happened back in the beginning of the 90s when Lothar Matthäus lived on of his career's most succesful periods. And with a KING on his feet it's not very strange that PUMA are now sharing a little part of this honour.

This year Matthäus is celebrating his 25th anniversary for when he won the World Cup with Germany and this is the reason why PUMA have revived this classic King. A boot that came from a time where football boots where much more simple. This special model of PUMA King will only be released in a limited amount (of course) 1.990 pairs.

As a litle twist to this model, PUMA have chosen to add a subtle design in the inner lining of colours in black and blue. This is of course a tribute to his time in Inter Milan where he played from 1988-1992. A golden period for the German where he not only won the World Cup, but also won the Balon d'Or (formerly Best European Player) and the FIFA World Player of the Year.

This King 1990 LM will definitely go down as a collectors item that most connoisseurs will want to secure to their collection. It definitely is a boot that is worth a legend.
