The weekend brought us both French and Spanish champions, an epic head first tackle by Phil Jones and Morata wearing sunglasses, as well as a top selection of football boots worthy of taking a look at - so come along and get you weekly football boot fix right here, as we zoom in on the best boots spots from the weekend.

Paul Pogba (Juventus) - Nike Magista Obra Grey/Baby Blue Paul Pogba is one of the players known to always deliver top shelf boot spots - the Frenchman is without a boot contract, and therefore he wears whatever he feels like. This week it was a Nike Magista Obra in a colourway that has not been launched. How Nike feels about this, we don’t know…

Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United) - New Balance Prototype White/Black The tall Belgian was in action as United and Arsenal drew 1-1 in the weekend, pretty much concluding that the top three has been decided. Fellaini was wearing a slightly different boot from his normal white prototypes, as New Balance had written ‘MAKE’ on the nose. What this means is something the brand has promised to reveal within the coming weeks.

Joao Pedro (Cagliari) - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV Academy Pack Blackout boots are always popular - and Cagliari’s Joao Pedro had been quick to secure a pair of Superfly IV from the Academy Pack, made in all black. We are not seeing many pro’s wearing these boots, since Nike decided not to launch them for the contract players - something Pedro didn't care too much for and went and got the boot anyways.

Vincent Laurini (Empoli FC) - PUMA King SL Black/Blue/White It’s not everyday that we see the first generation of the PUMA King SL in action, and certainly not with SG studs, as Laurini was sporting over the weekend. An elegant football boot with a low weight - and something that brings out the nostalgic smiles here at the Unisport HQ.

Besart Berisha (Melbourne Victory) - adidas F50 adizero Solar Green/White/Core Black Another player who does whatever he wants is Berischa, who has been spotted multiple times wearing the adidas Crazylight boots, and has now fallen for the solar green F50 adizero, which we have otherwise only seen very few players wearing. It shall surely be interesting to see what Berisha does as adidas drops their four silos…?

Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Bayer Leverkusen) - adidas 99g The Turk who is well known for his strike was yet again spotted wearing the highly limited adidas 99g football boot, of which there are just 299 pairs available worldwide; and yes it weighs in at just 99 grams. We did not see many pros wearing the boot, but Hakan Çalhanoğlu decided to not only but it on the shelf for display, but actually wear it on the pitch.

Steven Gerrard (Liverpool FC) - adidas Predator Instinct SG8 A legend said goodbye this weekend - Gerrard played his last match as a Liverpool player at Anfield, where he got celebrated by the fans. Adidas had also launched a special tribute to the Englishman, a Predator Instinct with the Liverpool colours and YNWA written on the heel, along with a symbol that could both look like the number 8 or the symbol of infinity. A nice gesture.

Hector Moreno (Espanyol) - adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Haters Blue/White Blackout Not everybody can get a hold of a blackout boot - but then you can just do it yourself. Moreno had certainly brought out the big black marker and blacked out his There Will Be Haters Nitrocharge - maybe a sign of his contract with the three stripes is coming to an end?

Jack Wilshere (Arsenal) - Nike Tiempo Legend V Laser Orange/Persian Violet/Total Orange Usually a man we would associate with the CTR360 and later on the Magista - but despite being a Magista Opus player since its release, Wilshere doesn't seem quite comfortable in the model yet - and was therefore (or maybe because of his many injuries) wearing the Legend V for the match against Manchester United.

Alvaro Morata (Juventus) - sunglasses Morata celebrated his goal against Inter during the weekend by putting on a pair of sunglasses. It’s not a boot spot. Deal with it.
