Weekend boot spots: the adidas 11Pro Crazylight makes an appearance

It has been a beautiful spring weekend, with perfect football weather and brilliant boot spots to match. Watch along and see what boots caught our eye this time.

Brad McDonald (Central Coast Mariners) - Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII Clash Collection

Kicking things off in Australia, where Brad McDonald took us back to Euro 2012 and showed off the Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII Clash collection. Still one of the most eye-catching boots around and you can’t blame McDonald for holding on to them all these years later.

Steven Beitashour (Toronto FC) & Mikey Lopez (New York City FC) - adidas 11Pro Crazylight & adidas X 15.1 Primeknit Aztec custom

So much boot glory in one series of pictures! I almost lost my mind when I spotted Beitashour sporting the Crazylight version of the 11Pro from late 2014. And things only got better, when I noticed Mikey Lopez had been up to more custom fun on his adidas boots. We featured Mikey Lopez a few weeks back, where he showed off the adidas Eskolaite Pack X 15.1 in an Aztec inspired design and now the same work has been done to the new Solar Gold boots. We couldn’t find any pictures with a really good angle, but hope to get an even better view of them in future installments of our boot spots.

Lee Nguyen (New England Revolution) - adidas ACE 15.1 White/Silver

Yesterday adidas unveiled their new Etch Pack, which presented their boots in a whiteout design. Last year they did something equally classy and that might be what Lee Nguyen was celebrating when he popped up in the adidas ACE 15.1 White/Silver boots. Still as good looking as ever and well worth a place in our boot spots.

Hulk (Zenit Sankt Petersborg) - Mizuno Morelia Neo Made in Japan

You sometimes forget how good Hulk really is, because he is playing in Russia, but the man is still a monster! Like so many of his countrymen, his all-time favourite boot is always gonna be the Mizuno Morelia Neo and that’s quite understandable. He did the damage this weekend in the newest colourway of the boots.

Luis Garcia (Central Coast Mariners) - New Balance Visaro

Hey, there’s a familiar face in Australia! He wouldn’t admit it himself, but Luis Garcia’s career is probably coming to an end soon. That however doesn’t mean he can’t still continue to perform for the Central Coast Mariners and he does so in the newest colourway of the New Balance Visaro. Looking sharp!

Leon Legge (Cambridge United) - Nike Tiempo Legend 6 NikeID

Looks like Leon Legge has been doing a bit of personal customisation here and fixed himself up with a pair of NikeID boots. Not an all-time favourite combination of mine, but it’s still awesome to see players rocking a pair of personalised boots.
